Breastfeeding: Basic Steps Bring Success
Breastfeeding Support Group
A support group for new mothers and their infants. Join us
Tuesdays every week from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm in the
Women and Infant Conference Room, 5th floor, St. Joseph's
Hospital
or Wednesdays from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at Rita Ranch, Urgent
Care Associates on Rita Road across from the Mesquite Elementary
School. Visit with other moms, receive support from lactation
specialists, share experiences and much more! For more

Infant Car Seat Safety Check
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 80 percent of child car seats are used incorrectly. Is your child's car seat correctly installed? Call to schedule your appointment for a free car seat check by a certified child passenger safety technician. Allow 30 minutes per car seat.
Booster seats are available for children meeting the
requirements. Call for further information. By appointment only. Call 873-3887.

Postpartum
Depression Support Group
A support group for women who are pregnant or who
have recently given birth and are suffering from postpartum
depression. The English-speaking group meets weekly on
Wednesdays, 6-7:30 pm, O'Reilly Care Center, on the campus of
St. Joseph's Hospital. The Spanish-speaking Group meets on
Wednesdays from 10:30 am - Noon at El Rio Neighborhood Center,
1390 W. Speedway. For information on the English Speaking Group,
call 873-6858. For information on Spanish Speaking Group, call
873-6857. Cost: Free.

Footprints Support Group
A community-wide support group for parents who have lost a baby
to miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth or newborn death.
A lending library, internet resources, parent networking,
community programs and referrals are available. Grandparents and/or siblings are invited. Meets second Tuesday
of each month, 7:30 to 9 pm, St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church, the
Calvin Room, 3809 E. 3rd Street, Tucson AZ 85716 (park and enter

Huella
A Spanish-speaking support group for pregnancy and
infant loss. Meets first Monday each month, 7:30 - 9 pm, El Rio
Neighborhood Center, 1390 W. Speedway. For more information call

Adolescent Pregnancy Outreach Program
Teen
Pregnancy and Childbirth Classes
Participate with other teens in a positive and
supportive atmosphere! Teen dads, support persons or
grandparents are encouraged to attend the classes. Classes
offered on Nutrition, Relaxation, Exercise, Labor and Delivery,
Breastfeeding, Post Partum and Baby Care. Classes are taught by
an experienced Labor and Delivery Nurse and Childbirth Educator.
Cost: Free.
Regardless of what hospital you are
delivering your baby, you may still attend the FREE classes. Our
goal is for you to be educated and prepared for one of the
greatest experiences of your life!
