joining Carondelet Health Network and the Operating Room Nurse
Education course. The course contains both didactic study and a
clinical preceptorship which lasts approximately 6 months.

Philosophy
In concert with the organization’s mission, vision, and values,
it is the philosophy of the OR Nursing program at Carondelet
Health Network to provide the educational development,
clinical resources and experiences to the RN who
has a desire to become an Operating Room nurse. Standards of care for the program are modeled
after the AORN curriculum.
Carondelet Health
Network Preceptorship
Registered Nurses in the Operating Room Nurse classes are
assigned preceptors that will guide them as they learn the
intricacies of Operating Room nursing. Carondelet Health Network
operating rooms are known for their
supportive environment and the clinical expertise of their staff.
Courses are offered periodically at both St. Joseph's and St.
Mary's Hospitals in Tucson. To take advantage of the OR Nurse
