Critical Care/Emergency Department (CCED) Program

Consider taking that next step in your professional career by joining Carondelet Health Network and the Critical Care Emergency Department Education course. The course is a 4-7 month program that will prepare you for the art of nursing in Critical Care. The educational program is the premiere Critical Care Class in Arizona that sets the benchmarks for excellence.

Critical Care/Emergency Department Program Philosophy

In concert with the organization’s mission, vision, and values, it is the philosophy of the CCED program at Carondelet Health Network to provide the educational development and clinical resources and experiences to the Registered Nurse who has a desire to become an Emergency Department or Critical Care licensed nurse. Standards of care for the program are modeled after the AACN curriculum.

CCED Program

The CCED is a 4-7 month program with structured classroom and clinical preceptorship with focus on the following clinical experiences:

Cardiac
Respiratory
Neurological
Gastrointestinal

Renal
Endocrine
Pain management
Basic and Advanced EKG

Medication management
Conscious Sedation
BLS/ACLS/PALS
