Carondelet Health Network is proud to announce an expansion of services at the Carondelet Medical Group Sahuarita office in the Fry’s Marketplace. Beginning October 3, two new family practice doctors will begin seeing patients at this location. The new physicians are Dr. Jason Bessey and Dr. Lauren Bessey. The last name is no fluke; the Besseys are indeed a husband and wife medical team.
To allow for this expansion in medical staff at the Sahuarita office, the Walk-in Clinic located in Sahuarita (15920 S. Rancho Sahuarita) will be moving to the Carondelet Medical Group Office in Green Valley (400 Camino Casa Verde, Suite 100) beginning on September 26. Hours for the Walk-in Clinic will remain the same: Monday-Friday from 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Patients who visit the new Walk-in Clinic location in Green Valley will see many familiar faces as the physicians who will attend to their immediate medical needs are the same doctors who operated the Walk-In Clinic at the Sahuarita location: Michael Beals, D.O., Richard Klassen, D.O., Stephanie Hulme, FNP-C, Lucia Esparza, FNP-BC, and Moira Shannon, M.D.
The relocation of the Walk-in Clinic precedes the opening of the Carondelet Sahuarita/Green Valley Urgent Care at the Carondelet Medical Mall in Green Valley. Construction to reconfigure existing space into an onsite Urgent Care began this summer. Carondelet hopes to open the Sahuarita/Green Valley Urgent Care in December. Once the Urgent Care opens, the Walk-in Clinic will no longer be necessary.
“We are so proud to be expanding in multiple locations in Sahuarita and Green Valley,” notes Paula Register, Senior Vice President, Physician, Ambulatory and Continuum Servicesfor Carondelet Health Network. “Carondelet has been a vital part of these growing communities since the mid-1990s. We have always been committed to meeting the needs of families and seniors living in the area, and the addition of two new doctors specializing in family practice in Sahuarita and the opening of our new Urgent Care in Green Valley for residents of both communities highlights that commitment.”
The 26,000 sq. ft. Carondelet Medical Mall in Green Valley offers primary care, diabetes care, Carondelet Hospice and Palliative Care, outpatient x-ray and imaging, and appointments with physicians in a wide variety of specialties including gastroenterology, neurology, nephrology, obstetrics, gynecology, podiatry, orthopedics, and heart and vascular care. The addition of the Carondelet Sahuarita/Green Valley Urgent Care will not only provide quick, convenient access to this valuable imaging and lab services within the Medical Mall, it will also include ambulance bays for immediate transportation of patients to Tucson if a higher level of care is needed. Carondelet Health Network’s St. Mary’s Hospital is located just 25 miles from this new Urgent Care facility in Green Valley. If a patient presents at the Urgent Care with signs of a stroke or heart attack, they can be transported to St. Mary’s Hospital, a nationally recognized center of excellence for the care of stroke and heart-related illnesses. .
