PAD Submittal Timeline

This timeline outlines the key upcoming deadlines for preparation, City review and approval of the Carondelet St. Joseph’s Hospital PAD to the City of Tucson. The deadlines are subject to change, depending on progress with the PAD revisions and City timing.

+2-3 weeks City staff comments on revised PAD due
+2-3 weeks Formal PAD submittal
+10 days Acceptance of PAD by City
+up to 70 days Zoning Examiner public hearing
+5 weeks Mayor and Council consideration
+30 days Effective date of PAD ordinance (approximately late February 2006)

 

Planned Area Development Proposed Phasing Schedule

Phase I:

  • Women’s Pavilion

  • Inpatient Services

  • Ancillary Services

  • Public Services

  • Medical office Building

  • Physical Plant Services

  • Two Parking Garages


Phase II:

  • New Main Entrance

  • Wellness Center

  • Physical Plant Services

  • Drainage channel Improvements (northern boundary)

  • Chapel (may begin in Phase I)

  • Third Parking Garage (location to be determined)


Phase III:

  • Emergency Room Expansion

  • Ancillary Services

  • Operational Services


Phase IV:

  • Second Medical Office Building

  • Ancillary Services

  • Operational Services

  • Physical Plant Services

  • Medical Office Park (located in the eastern portion of the PAD)

  • Possible 5th Floor to Women’s Pavilion
